Rather than talk endlessly about how great the seven products are, I thought it would be more fun to show you. The two looks below, featuring gorgeous new face Crystal Van Commenee, were created using the products from the box.
DAY LOOK: Romantic washes of violet, purple and burgandy around the eyes are perfect for Fall. Paired with a deep nude lip for day or clashing against a bright red lip for the evening, these colors look great on a surprisingly wide range of complexions. And of course, they are lovely with this season’s embellished fashions (Gucci anyone?).
For the day look, I used the pale violet shade in the Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Eyeshadow The Tease to sweep around the entire eye, then anchored the lower lash line with a smudge of the deeper burgundy color. Then I applied a single coat of Velvet Noir Mascara and brushed through the lashes with a spoolie for a defined but soft look.
To create a natural looking flush, I blended the lighter shade in the Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in Night Fever and Hot Stuff across the apples of the cheeks.
I wanted the lips to feel casual with a touch of romantic so I skipped liner and just applied the Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in Love Drunk – a flattering deep nude with a slightly mauve undertone and a touch of golden shimmer.
As a finishing touch, I used my finger to gently tap on the Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator. I prefer to highlight the center of the face during the day and save the intense cheek bone glow for the evening.

NIGHT LOOK: For the night look, I took inspiration from Guy Bourdin’s 70’s fashion editorials and went straight for his favorite color combo of purple and red. Using the same Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Eyeshadow in The Tease, I applied the deep shimmering shades of purple right over our Day Look violet shadow. To add some nighttime drama, I traced around the lashline and the inner waterline with the Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer. And of course, another coat of Velvet Noir Mascara to create a heavy thick lash.
On the cheeks, I blended the two shades of Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in Night Fever and Hot Stuff together and then used them for both contour and blush – a signature Marc Jacobs Beauty technique called “draping”.
There is nothing like a perfect red lip and the Le Marc Lip Creme in Goddess is exactly that. It’s opaque enough that you don’t even need liner, unless you prefer it for extra staying power. I always apply it first with a brush to get the edges right, after that you can touch up straight from the tube.
And since nighttime makeup is generally viewed in low light settings, I like to add extra highlight to draw attention to the face. Using the Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator directly from the tube, I drew a streak down the cheekbone, the nose, the peak of the lips, the chin, etc. Then I used a gentle rolling/tapping motion with my fingers to blend.
