NARS just released “Undercover”, their Summer 2016 Collection and per usual, there are a bunch of gorgeous shades. However, since it’s still technically spring, I decided to do a romantic look with a touch of 90’s grunge as a way to transition the seasons. These shimmering pink and bronzed rose shades add warmth to the complexion plus they are flattering on a wide range of skin tones. The secret to making these colors more “cool” and less “pretty” is to keep the application a bit raw and messy, not too perfect.

Rather than use eyeshadow, I created this look by doing a wet application of the NARS Dual Intensity Blush in Liberation. Start by patting a small amount of NARS Eye Lid Primer in Translucent on dry eyelids. Allow it to set for a minute. Dampen a brush and swirl it across the Dual Intensity Blush in Liberation. The powder should be almost completely wet so you may need to spritz one edge of the blush to get the right texture. Blend the lighter pink rose shade on the inner half of the eyelids and under the eye. Then blend the deeper bronze rose shade on the outer half of the lids and under the eye. Apply the deeper shade in the crease and blend upward, stopping just short of the brow. Add a touch of the NARS Eye Liner in White to the bottom waterline to keep the eyes looking bright. Finish it with two coats of NARS Audacious mascara on the top lashes and one on the bottom.
