I spend a great deal of time behind the camera – either shooting photos of people or putting make-up on them – and one of the things I’ve come to realize is that no face is truly symmetrical. ?It’s been said that symmetry is the primary measure of beauty and while I can see the scientific argument behind that theory, the concept of beauty seems too complex to distill down into such a basic form.
* Note: I used one of Tom Ford’s gorgeous lipsticks in this shot but the color was altered by a heavy dose of a deep orange lipliner underneath and translucent powder on top. ?The actual Scarlet Rouge color is less orange and has a less matte finish. ?
